Abstract

Abstract Background Student radiographers’ knowledge and practices with regard to the ethical responsibilities for the Radiography profession at Sefako Makgatho Health Sciences University is described in the study. The study explored their knowledge, practices and suggestions for improvement of ethical responsibilities. Knowledge differed widely because of the differential practical experiences that participants were exposed to in the clinical environment. All the students acknowledged that they received theory lectures about ethics, although they are not entirely convinced that it is practiced at selected clinical training institutions. Aim of the study The study explored student radiographers’ knowledge and practices of ethical responsibilities for the Radiography profession and ultimately provided recommendations to improve their knowledge and practices at the workplace.
