The star collapses from an initial static configuration by dissipating energy in the form of a radial heat flux. The perturbation in the density and pressure pro-files are such that the star is always close to hydrostatic equi-librium. The temperature profiles are studied using a causal heat transport equation.||URI:||http://hdl.handle.net/10321/2949||ISSN:||0004-640X (print)
